Change in topic

After talking with Angela and Helen I have decided to change my idea for project. I am keeping some parts of it the same but it is mostly going to be changed.

I have completely got rid of the puzzle idea and i am just focusing on the ideas of lines.
When i was talking to Angela about my idea i noticed that she was stroking a pen which had lines which went right around the pen. It was sort of like the image bellow

She was stroking up and down the pen where the lines where. When i asked her if she could do the same but in the direction of the lines she said that it just doesn't feel right compared to the way which she was doing before.

My new idea is to see how people interact with different surfaces which have a series of lines on them. In my original idea i was going to have a segment of my puzzle which would have lines on it directing the user to turn in a specific way, bellow is an image of my experiment for it
